Sure, there are a lot of shopping list apps in the App Store, but you can use Reminders to do the same thing and even share the list with other people (see tip #5 later on in this post). To add a list to Reminders, either tap on “New List” at the top of the iOS app (see image below) or click “Add List” at the bottom of the OS X. Command-line tool for migrating Mac OS X Reminders from the canonical system storage to The Omni Group's OmniFocus Pro app. Because this tool relies upon AppleScript support, it will not work with the non-pro version of OmniFocus. An OS X app is really a folder with a name like Maill.app. OS X understands this to be an application that you can double-click and run (even though you are actually executing a file inside this folder).

Don't know if you figured this out, I ran into the same thing. Mac app ui kit. Exported a test list that had a few reminders, imported it back into a new, empty list, and got nothing, blank list. So I sent a bug report to apple. Funny thing, I then closed Reminders application thinking, ok, that doesn't work. I later opened reminders and my test list was still there, so I clicked on it and there was the imported list from the file ! So I tested it again, import the file into a new list (list is blank/empty), close the app, restart, and sure enough list imported. https://yellowsolution281.weebly.com/blog/schedule-maker-app-mac. Its definitely a bug, appears to be gui refresh on import, but a least now I think there's a work around. See if that works for you. I'm running imac, 10.8.2.
